New safe water project in India

  • Feb 28, 2018

Brownfield Green is working with clean water charity Frank Water to build a safe water system in the village of Chelimaravalasa, India.  Chelimaravalasa is a rural village in the Andra Pradesh region, and currently its only water source is a well. The pathway to the well is steep and slippery and in the rainy season, the well water gets contaminated with agricultural effluents, with the burden of collecting water falling heavily on women.

Brownfield Green has donated £15,000 in February 2018 to Frank Water, to enable a project which will provide clean drinking water to 60 households.

Frank Water Projects work to improve access to safe water, sanitation & hygiene for marginalised communities in India and Nepal. Have a look at the other projects we have funded with Frank Water or find out more about their life-changing work.
