ROMILLY QUARTER
The glorious Grade II Listed Victorian Methodist Church and the original Sunday School Hall next door have been converted into 11 luxurious and spacious historic houses. The Sunday School Hall was built in 1889, and used as a chapel whilst the main church was built. The church opened in 1898. Both buildings were built by Thomas Walker who also built the nearby Barry docks.
The buildings have fantastic original architecture with stained glass windows, original stonemasonry, and were built with real craftmanship. Romilly Quarter is a conversion of both buildings offering a unique blend of old and new, taking the best bits of each. You can now have an energy efficient modern home with the quality craftsmanship and materials that make historic buildings so special.
Barry is an attractive town full of maritime history and the houses at Romilly Quarter are perfectly located to make the most of all it has to offer. Within walking distance is Romilly Park, the waterfront and docks and the traditional high street where independent shops, cafes and boutiques thrive. With its splendid sandy beaches and nearby rugged coastal walks there is something for everyone.
