Work begins in earnest on our new project at Kersteman Quarter now that full planning permission has been granted. The Brownfield Green team can now move from the pre-commencement works into the main construction stage of the project. Their first job is digging down to create a lower ground floor the full footprint of the building (as there was only a partial lower ground floor before).
We’re really looking forward this project – the final homes and gardens at Kersteman Quarter are going to be quite something. We’ve had lots of support from local people and organisations who are glad to see this lovely building conserved. The planners also received some concerns about the removal of two trees at the rear of the site to create 2 parking spaces…we are delighted to announce that as a result of the concerns raised the planners agreed that parking could be provided from Kersteman Road, which avoids removing the two trees. A great result and an improvement to the scheme.
